Semi-Permanent Fillers can be used to treat most areas of the face affected by deeper lines, wrinkles and folds.

Areas of suitability include the lines between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), wrinkles in the cheeks and chin, the jowls and the recessed temple area.

Semi-Permanent Fillers work differently from traditional fillers as it is a  replenishing treatment that helps to gradually and subtly reducing lines, wrinkles and folds over time.

1-4 vials are needed in an initial treatment and a follow up at 6 weeks may or may not require 1-2 vials, depending on how many areas are treated and the depth of the wrinkles/ lines. Initial results are noticeable at 6 weeks but the full effect is usually noted at 6-7 months. It is long lasting so subsequent treatments are 20 months apart.

The results with Semi-Permanent Fillers can be quite spectacular by rebuilding the framework that’s been lost over time, Semi-Permanent Fillers can produce a subtle, natural looking result desired by many patients.

Common side effects associated with all Cosmetic Injectables include tenderness, redness; bruising and swelling. There may be some bleeding at the site of injection. These generally resolve in 2-5 days. A possible delayed side effect can be a small bump under the skin that may not be visible and only noticeable when pressed on. They tend to develop after 6-12 months and can disappear with massage or may need to be injected with some saline to treat them.

As with all procedures involving an injection through the skin, there is also a risk of infection.
